The International Inclusive Taekwon-Do Association (IITA) is proud to welcome Master Laziz Khasanov of Uzbekistan to our growing global family. A seasoned leader and lifelong advocate for Taekwon-Do, Master Khasanov brings with him a deep commitment to empowerment, accessibility, and inclusion—values that lie at the very core of the IITA mission.

“As someone who has dedicated many years to the development and promotion of Taekwon-Do, I firmly believe in its power not only as a martial art, but also as a tool for personal growth, inclusion, and empowerment,” he shares.

A Vision That Goes Beyond the Dojang

Master Khasanov’s decision to join IITA is more than just a new affiliation—it’s a reflection of a lifelong philosophy. His passion lies in ensuring that Taekwon-Do is truly for everyone, including individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities who are so often overlooked in sport and society.

“My interest comes from a sincere desire to ensure that Taekwon-Do is accessible to everyone — regardless of physical or cognitive ability.”

He has seen firsthand how Taekwon-Do transforms lives—building confidence, discipline, and a deep sense of belonging. Now, through IITA, he aims to help foster that same transformation for people of all abilities, within a structure that is supportive, adaptive, and rooted in dignity and respect.

Eyes on Italy – A New Chapter Begins

Master Khasanov is currently working to bring a team from Uzbekistan to the Inclusive Taekwon-Do World Championships in Jesolo, Italy this October. This would mark a historic step forward for Inclusive Taekwon-Do in Central Asia and further amplify the visibility of athletes with disabilities on the international stage.

“Being part of IITA aligns with my values and vision for a more inclusive global Taekwon-Do community. I look forward to learning, contributing, and helping this important mission grow.”

A Global Mission, A Shared Purpose

At IITA, we are humbled and inspired by Master Khasanov’s words and his commitment to our mission. His joining marks a significant milestone in expanding our reach into Uzbekistan and Central Asia, bringing us closer to our shared goal: a world where Taekwon-Do is a vehicle for inclusion, hope, and human connection—regardless of ability.

We look forward to supporting Master Khasanov’s work and welcoming his athletes to Italy in October. Together, we are not just growing an organization—we are building a global family where everyone belongs.

Welcome to IITA, Master Laziz Khasanov. Your journey is now part of ours.
